Actress Tamara Wall, best known for playing Grace Black on Hollyoaks, has been announced as the patron of Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary in Merseyside, which rescues cats and other small animals.

Wall, who recently visited the sanctuary after hearing about their rescue and rehoming of a kitten flung from a moving car, is set to be involved in the charity's upcoming property funding campaign as it aims to move to larger premises, and is planning to adopt a cat of her own. Rescue Me's Steph Allen commented 'She was caring, concerned about the number of animals in rescue but also really positive about our plans for the future'.
